| | So I got reconnecter and when I added it, it worked just fine. And after an hour or so, it stopped working. I didn't change anything or added anything. Anyone can help me understand why Reconnecter stopped working for me? | | Top |

| What are the symptoms? Did you get any messages like "Connection checker enabled"?
Did you type "quit"? That disables automatic reconnecting, or you would never be able to quit.
What I see, after forcing a disconnect, is this:
<10040hp 10000m 110mv> <#21000>
Connection checker enabled
--- Disconnected on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 8:41 AM ---
--- Connected for 0 days, 0 hours, 3 minutes, 21 seconds. ---
Connecting to world, attempt # 1
--- Connected on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 8:41 AM ---
So, did you get the disconnected message? If not, MUSHclient doesn't know you have disconnected. To see that message in the output window make sure that in File -> Global Preferences -> General that "Notify when connection broken", "Notify me if unable to connect" and "Notify to output window" are all checked. |

| When I get a forced disconnect this happens:
Connection checker enabled
--- Disconnected on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, 4:48 PM ---
--- Connected for 0 days, 0 hours, 5 minutes, 13 seconds. ---
And just that.
When I quit though, it reconnects and logs back in.
And I have those preferences checked already. | | Top |

| Are you saying it works backwards? If you quit it reconnects, but on a force disconnect it doesn't?
In the global preferences, try unchecking "Reconnect on disconnect" (let the plugin do it).
Also, are timers enabled? The reconnector uses a timer to try every few seconds. |

| Oooh, I feel so stupid! My timers were disabled.
I enabled them and now it works for both, forced disconnect and when I quit.
Is it not suppose to work when I quit? I have to disable the plugin if I want to quit. | | Top |

| | If you disable "reconnect on disconnect" in global preferences, then it should not reconnect when you quit. However the word "quit" is in the plugin, if you type something else to quit you would need to change that. |
