This is the problem,
after each battle round i get new row of
*****************

the *'s separate every battle round..
Now, I wanted to create a trigger from these *** but it wont work :(

My fellow mudders who used zmud client told me that they got ~*~*~* as the trigger..
is there similar way to make the trig work?
While partying in big partys at Batmud it would be handy to give reports of current hp and sp after each round...

So can anyone change these ********* as working trigger?
Please also send me a email if you got a solution.
It will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Yes you can do that. There is a problem with a simple trigger matching on asterisks, as they are a wildcard, however make it a regular expression and you will be OK.

In fact it can be nice and simple, as I gather you want to match on some number of asterisks? Thus, just match on this:

Trigger: ^\*+$
Regular expression: checked

If there are extra characters or spaces you might need to modify it a bit. What this means is ...

  • ^ - match start of line
  • \* - match an asterisk - the backslash "escapes" it to be an asterisk and not a wildcard or something
  • + - match one or more asterisks (the previous character)
  • $ - match end of line
