You know, there are 10^5 possibilities here. Even if the number is in the first 10,000, you'll be waiting quite a while to get the right combination. Even with a one-second time delay, 10,000 seconds is 166.67 minutes, which is 2.78 hours i.e. approximately 2 hours and 46 minutes.

To be honest I might suggest talking to the immortals about this; it seems a little unfair to force somebody to guess the right combination out of 99,999 possibilities in order to continue playing, especially if there's not much they can do about getting locked up (by other players, presumably?).

This doesn't sound too hard to implement as a command; I'm not terribly good with triggers but I'm sure somebody else can help you out.

Sounds like this is my MUD. In a nutshell:
-Players can get out of the apartment via doorbash or other means (not including brute forcing).
-This player was shoved into the apartment while they were AFK botting. Pay attention and you won't have this problem in the first place.
-There are no rules, which means this script would be legal. But so was locking you in the apartment.
-Reason with the apartment owner. Which in this case, I think the player failed at doing that.

Seems to me that if a bot was detected, and the response is to make the bot send 99,999 commands to the MUD, resulting in considerable network usage, then the problem isn't really solved. ;)
