Okay.. here's a question. Say your character on a mud is an alchemist. As you may very well know, alchemists depend on ingredient/solvents/etc. to make whatever they make. There is a particular spot I would like my char to visit, say, every 45 min and pick up the items there. I've made the timer, but I cannot figure out how to quit from the world and then rejoin; because apparently the items will not regen with a PC hanging about (no babysitting! lol)

If you make the timer, and click "active when disconnected" then the timer will continue to work if you disconnect (eg. type "quit").

Then when the timer fires it can check if you are connected, and if not, connect you, wait 20 seconds (for the connection to complete) and then pick up the item.

Something like this should work, it needs the latest version (currently 3.38) because it uses inline scripting:

<timers>
  <timer enabled="y"
    minute="45"
    send_to="12"
    active_closed="y" >
  <send>if not IsConnected then
  Note "Not connected - reconnecting"
  Connect
end if
Note "Time to visit the shop"</send>

  </timer>
</timers>
