| I am fairly new to DoT, but I have been reading and absorbing everything I can find as far as info for it. But nowhere can I find out where to set it up so that when you die your corpse stays where you died. I cannot stand loseing all my eq everytime I die.
Also while I have your attention :D
Is there anywhere I can disable the gain exp for Roleplaying, as I wil not be requireing any roleplay in my mud. I only want ppl to gain exp for fighting and quests.
Thanks, and It looks good so far :D

| Ok, seems you have a slight misconception where corpses are concerned. Regardless of morgue usage, you wont lose everything when you die, ever. (Unless of course you piss off the staff and they eat your corpse after slaying you :P) The morgue enabled gameedit flag toggles where your corpse goes when it dies, if the flag is on the morgue is active, otherwise your corpse drops where you die. Personally, Id recommend using the morgue so you dont wind up with ppl dying in nasty aggro areas and having their corpses decay while the aggy mobs eat them on the attempted retrieval. As for roleplaying xp, theres another gameedit flag, its fairly obvious though I cant think of it offhand that will disable the RPS system and rp exp if its turned off. There are a great many gameedit flags that can be used to do a great deal of customization without ever having to touch and of the actual code behind whatever features you dont like. |
