MUSHclient won't read my world file for some reason. All I did was try to reload the world, because I set it to run function on_connect when the world opened. (I had originally wanted it to be done on connect, but changed my mind. Hence why the name of the function is on_connect)

Now it says "Unexpected File Format"

Hard to say without seeing it. I hope you have a backup.

Do you get other messages?

Can you open it with an external editor, such as Notepad? What do you see? How many lines of data are in it?

I've never known the client to write out a bad file, unless the disk fills up, or the power goes off or something like that.
