I start SAYs with a ', followed by the message that I want to send.

It seems that at random, my MUSHclient will switch up so that instead of the apostrophe, it combines it with the next character (assuming that it can be combined). So that...

'It's good to see you again.

Becomes...

Ít's good to see you again.

With the special character 'Í', it doesn't send properly. To get it to return to normal, I have to shut down my MUSHclient and restart. This occurs on both version 4.73 and 4.81, and seems to be specific to the program, as I've got different worlds running and it spans all of them.

How do I make this stop? If there's some way to shut it off for good, that'd be great. But I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing to make it start doing this to begin with. Any insight would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have triggered some sort of keyboard translation. There is nothing in the client that does that.

What operating system are you using?

Windows 7.

It doesn't SEEM to do it in any other programs, just MUSH. But I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it could be OS.

A working hypothesis is that the sequence that sets this behaviour off is something you type a lot in the MUD.
