Ok, bug I found: I'm trying to remake the Academy, but in the proccess I'm switching between files to double-check things. Problem is this: I opened up an area file (Academy.are) and the old Academy file (newacad.are), and set them to the same vnums. I made a room, and used duplicate to add in a couple of rooms. So, here is the bug:
The room exits, progs, ect. are carried over to the new file. They don't save, but it makes things a bit annoying and somewhat bothersome.
Need any more info, just ask and I'll get what info I can that you may need.

P.S.
Maybe allow for tabs in another release/plug-in so that if someone has this same problem, they can just switch back and forth to fix things as needed.

I can't quite reproduce that. Can you give the exact steps?

Take an area, "save as" a new one, then editing the old one (or the new one?) duplicate a room? Then what? And what happens?

Sorry for the delay on responce.

I had opened up one file, then basically kept loading other files in on top of it to double check what I had.

I also had alot of registry errors, plus various other problems with my comp, so that may have been a factor. If it reoccures, I'll post here what all happened.
