| I do not seem to be able to access any of the files that are created by MUSHclient (v 4.96).
By this, I mean that within the program when I go to open a world, for example, I can see the files in the 'Open' Dialog, but if I browse to the world folder in the File Explorer, the files do not exist.

I have gone into the Folder view options and set them to show every file. I have also run a command prompt and browsed through the directory and the files aren't there...

I also am unable to locate the Log files created by the Auto Logger. I can see it in the 'Save to' Dialog, but through the file browser, I find nothing.

Another instance is that I used the Plugins Wizard to create a starter plugin, but when I browse to the plugins folder, it is not there... When I go to Add Plugin, I see it in the dialog, but I can't even Copy->Paste it to another folder from that dialog (which I should be able to do). I get an error stating that the file no longer exists.

Windows 7/8 do weird things with files, especially if they are in the Program Files directory.
I suggest you move or re-install into Documents, the Desktop, or some custom location that is not Program Files. |

| I have re-saved the world file and log file into a folder in My Documents and am now able to access them, thank you...
In your experience, is this enough or should I completely Uninstall from Program Files and Reinstall into My Documents? | | Top |

| | However you may have a problem with plugin state files. It might be best to re-install the lot into My Documents. |
