I got my usual quota of spam and other messages this morning, so the mail server seems to be working. :)

Possibly your mail is being blocked by some anti-spam provision at your server? I don't run my own mail server, it is provided by Superb.Net who also host these web pages.

I suggest you try sending a message via the forum, click on my bio link on the message and then "send an email to Nick Gammon".

This will put the mail directly on the Superb.Net mail server where I will find it in due course.

I sent you this e-mail:

Importance: High

Nick Gammon,

I run my own e-mail server and made sure it's not an open relay, which is what these ISPs like to block.

I needed to ask you questions with regards to the legal copyrights of your product. I offer a link to MUSHclient on the login page of my gaming service and need to verify the copyright credentials I have listed.

The listed credentials are:

MUSHclient™ is a software product produced by a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals. Copyright © 2001 Nick Gammon.

Is this accurate? Is there a 2002 copyright for this product?

Thank you for your prompt consideration,

It would be much easier on me if you could reply to that here instead of trying to troubleshoot your ISP's e-mail problems. I don't have any trouble contacting other people as a good majority of my company uses e-mail as an official medium for correspondence with our customers.

Thank you,
Peter Souza Iv

I am not a lawyer, but I understand copyright exists on a work unless you specifically relinquish it. The notice merely warns other people that the copyright still pertains.

As far as I am concerned it is also copyright 2002, however if you have an older version of the program or documentation it may well only mention 2001, the date the document was written.

You may place a link to my program(s), and state they are copyright 2002, if you wish.
