| I notice that today we have exceeded 100,000 views of forum pages. This is a rough-and-ready approximation of how popular the forum is. Every time someone looks at a subject (ie. a page with actual posts on it), the count for that subject is incremented by one (whether or not you are logged in).
The total of all those counts is displayed on the "main" forum page ("All forums").
These figures are only approximate, as web pages can be cached by your browser, and also by reloading the page you force it to be redisplayed, thus adding one to the counter.
