Welcome to MUSHclient - the fast, easy-to-use MUD client program. We hope you enjoy using it.
Getting Started
Getting started with MUSHclient is easy. The fastest way to connect to a MUD is to use the Connection menu, and select Quick connect (SHIFT + CTRL + C).
Fill in the following fields:
World name
This is the name of the MUD. It is used to label the window for that MUD when you are connected. It can be anything you like, for example "Realms of Despair".
TCP/IP address
This is the address of the MUD. It can be expressed as a "dotted-decimal" number, or just the name of that MUD's server, for example "realmsofdespair.com", or "216.251.47.10". (Don't type the quotes).
Port number
This is the port that is used to connect to that MUD, for example, "4000".
When you click on OK you will be connected to the specified world, and you can start playing. To change various options, use the World Configuration dialogs (CTRL+G).
