Help a newbie get started!

I am having a hard time just getting started on making a script in python (or any language) and am curious as to what needs to be done. I've looked at the example and it doesn't really jive with me. It would be beneficial if I could look at an example of a complete, working program. Anyone familiar with Swords of Chaos would probably know what I'm talking about when making a program.

Check around in the forums (and read the new help file).

Basically, you won't be writing a program, you'll be making some complicated subroutines at 'best'. It's all event driven (timers, aliases, triggers), with subroutines/script pieces to glue them together and send to the server.

If you could give some examples (quick easy examples), we could show you how they work, and you can go from there.
