Heh, this is probaly somewhere in the forums, probaly everywhere. I just woke up though, and thats my excuse for not looking. Anyways, onto the question.
I switched to AFKmud, which has the overland code installed. Now my question is, how do I make rooms appear on the map, or to even get it started for that matter? A link, documentation, anything, helpful.
I hold my tongue about the rest and say only this:
AFK has it's own website and it's own rather information rich forums about the code. You'd be best advised to search there for an answer to your question.
You can't see the rooms on the overland map because you're not set on map mode.
Mset self flags onmap, I think it is, and you'll see the room as it's supposed to be.
This flag is autoset when you enter the map as it's supposed to be entered, rather'n via goto.
The overland map isn't a room mapper... most people don't realize this... It is a map that you travel on, not a map of the rooms you go through.
It seems that this is what you thought... I could be mistaken of course.
Since you downloaded the code right from the site, it's AFKmud and there shouldn't be any problems with the map flags being set... as there would be in installing it.
Try goto map alsherok, you can't use goto <vnum> to go to overland maps.
