Ok another thing i'm stuck on. I've been looking like crazy but can't figure out how to get rid or change the following.
When you connect to the mud it shows your title, then it shows imotd, next it shows the following,,
Welcome to (Name Not Set)...
I need to figure out how to set the name. Or delete it, whatever. It also shows up in wizlist...Ugh..

This I believe is also in the sysdata file that the waitforauth was in should be right at the top saying mud name or something like that...
If I'm completely wrong I'll have to look for it in my files... Although I think some of what you are asking is burried in the documents that come with smaug if you got the full distribution.

Ya I know what your talking about but I already changed it. It still gives me that message...Interesting thing is, in mud.h I believe you can look up sysdata.mud_name which is whats giving me the message but it doesn't let me customize it. kinda getting closer I think, there might be a command in game.. Who knows..

It is in the sysdata.dat file alright. Maybe you are changing the wrong file (ie. a copy of the file in another directory). You need to restart the MUD afterwards.
Yup, It turned out that in sysdata.dat there was a missing line called mudname...I just had to add it with my desired name and va-la. Thanks a ton guys.
