Who wrote the forum software?

It was written by Nick Gammon.

It was developed in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

What language is it written in?

It is written in PHP 4 (Personal Home Page version 4).

What database does it use?

Messages, users, topics and so on are stored on a MySQL database.

MySQL is at http://www.mysql.com/

What platform does it run on?

At present it runs on Linux, however as PHP and MySQL both run on Windows it can probably be made to work there too.

Is it for sale?

The forum software is released under the GNU General Public License.

In essence, this means you can copy the software without paying for it. There are some restrictions imposed by the licence, you should read it for more details.

How do I get a copy?
