Make the "auto-wrap to window size" setting use the min of the textrectangle's width and the window's width instead of ignoring the textrectangle's potentially much smaller size.

Now that I poke around in it. I don't think wrap settings work correctly at all here. I uncheck the checkbox next to the wrap column, and my lines still wrap at whatever is in the number box. I check or uncheck auto-wrap, and the lines still wrap at whatever is in the number box. My checkboxes seem to do nothing. Maybe this should go in bug reports. :(

Oddly, I believe that checkbox toggles whether it wraps at the nearest space or not.

When in doubt, read the help for the dialog.

Help for the dialog said:

When this is checked, output from the MUD is wrapped at the nominated column in such a way that words are not broken into two (the line is wrapped at the previous space).

I admit that is slightly ambiguous. However unchecking it does the opposite of part of that sentence (words are then broken in two).

But if you can suggest better wording that fits into that amount of screen space, go ahead.

I think you might have a good point here. It's an example of adding features later and not considering the impact on all the little checkboxes that have been there for ages.

Anyone think of a reason not to do it?

Sounds just fine.

I'd recommend leaving the naming just as it is (talking about window size even though it is not technically correct in all instances.) After all, a user doesn't give a damn about TextRectangles some plugin might have set up, and a window is probably close enough to make them go 'oooh I need this setting'.

So yeah, fully in favor.

I'm not sure why it took so long to notice, but it looks like the wrap column isn't being updated when the font size changes.
