What I have : DamRoll goes negative after somewhere around 1000. My test char is doing massive damage...add more +dam eq and DamRoll inverts to negative land >:(

What I want: Effectively unlimited damage potential ( at least to the short degree - 32767)

What I've done: grepped for get_damroll, APPLY_DAMROLL, DamRoll, set_damroll, etc... lots of references, but I can't seem to find the parameters that constrain the damn roll **bad pun**

I know I'm gonna feel dumb, cause this will be an easy one and I'm no coder yet, but I'm usually pretty decent at finding 'tweak' solutions like this one. I did a search for 'damroll' in the archives, but no luck with my specific problem. Anyway I'm using 1.4a via Cygwin and the only mod I've done in this area is increasing maximum player damage, which I assume is no conflict here as I'm not getting a maxdam error. What I want to know is exactly where to find the number I need to tweak up ( or less likely, a char that needs to be a short ). Thanks in advance...

Check over the variable of damroll, in mud.h, it may be sh_int. Change that to int, it should solve your problem.

Thanks Z, That fixed it right up. I DO feel dumb for missing that, maybe I only grepped the .c files b4 and forgot the all-important headers :o Thanks again!
