Hi there!

A friend of a MUD player wanted to request assistance with their auto-login suddenly not working on MUSHclient, but when they came to these forums, they said the webpage was not screen reader friendly.

Is there any way we could possible reconfigure the forums to be better accessed by people who utilize screen readers?

Thanks so much!

I have had a few posts from visually impaired people, and so far no-one has commented on that aspect.

However, since the forum was written around 20 years ago it probably doesn't follow today's best practice.

I'm looking into the guidelines for accessibility (of which there are a lot). Can your friend be a little more specific about what aspect of the forum is not friendly? Possibly there are some easy tweaks that could improve it for them.

For example, I can imagine that my warning about spam, which appears at the head of each page, might be annoying if you have to listen to it on every page, and that is something that could be tweaked.

I've made a few changes, see if that helps.
