| I MUD all the time and some times go AFK (away from keyboard) do things like eat, clean something, ect.
I've noticed more than a few times when I set AFK and walk away from the computer, I've come back to find an error message and Mushclient has crashed out.
It's never quite long enough for the screen saver to engage, though.
I'm using version 3.42 and am kind of curious about why the client crashes when I stop using it for a couple of minutes.

| I have MUSHclient sitting here for days on end. It never crashes "after you stop using it for a few minutes". For instance, I have a session that started on 8th September, almost 6 days ago.
There must be some other reason. |

| Do you mean that MUSHclient crashes or that your connection is closed?
Some (and most) MUDs have idle timeouts that, if you type nothing for too long, will kick you off the game. That could be what is happening. Some have the timeouts set at 2 hours, others at 15 minutes.
But yes, I also leave MUD sessions open for days on end sometimes, and never have had any trouble at all. |

| Are you using scripting? MUSHclient is at the mercy of external DLLs a bit. If you use something (like scripting) that uses code written by someone else, that can be the problem.
If you are, you could download and install the latest script DLL (VBscript, JScript etc.).
At least, if it happens that often, try turning scripting off and see if the problem goes away. |
