Whenever I cast Create fire,spring,water,or symbol I end up casting create food

Better not accept the suggested change to the spelling. :)

Or, turn the spell checker off.

it's not a bug, I had the same problem if you notice when you type help create spring or something the syntax is
cast 'create spring'
cast 'create water'
cast 'creat food' <name>

see put those ' ' around the words and it'll work

I doubt if it is a spell checker bug because "fire" is a perfectly valid word. It wouldn't change "fire" to "food".
