There are a whole lots of IFs and BUTs in the function talk_channel in act_comm.c, which I presume is doing it.

I can't see offhand what is wrong. I suggest you try some debugging displays (preferably without too many players on at the time).

eg. In the main loop, where it checks every player to see if the message should go to them:


for ( d = first_descriptor; d; d = d->next )
{
CHAR_DATA *och;
CHAR_DATA *vch;


Put in some messages to tell the player doing the chat, what player it is up to in the loop, and why it is deciding not to send it to them.
