| Anyone else notice posts "hopping" around from the current day, to the previous day, or vice-versa?
I'm NOT talking about posts that have received a reply and are moved up to the current date.
For example:
I'll read a thread from yesterday, then click back on "all forums", and the thread will be listed under today's date. ...Then I'll read another thread, and when I return to the "all forums" page, that first thread is back under the previous day's posts.
Despite this oddness, the threads remain sorted by last postings to them, so this is really just a minor, minor cosmetic issue which I thought I would point out more for it's humour, than a need to see it fixed. :) |

| I'm pretty sure it's not a browser issue.
I suspect it may be a time zone issue. I have mine customized. Could be this only happens around midnight, and the forum is confused about the day because it reads the time inconsistently. (Sometimes local to the server, sometimes local to the user). |

| The server always generates the pages so it should use the time on the post, offset by your supplied time-zone offset.
Maybe in one place it forgets to add the offset. Next time it happens can you specify:
* The subject number (eg. this one is 1277)
* The post number (click on Edit and look at the URL)
* What the time was locally
* What time the post claimed to be made at
* What you thought it should be
* Which forum page you were looking at (eg. main summary, MUSHclient topics) |

| I think I figured it out.
To get the the forum, I usually click "Help | Mushclient web page" from within mush client. Next, I click the Blue "Forum" button at the top of the Mushclient webpage that is presented.
I noticed, I am NOT logged in at this point.
Next, I click on a thread I want to read. At this point, I am logged in. (Guess my browser cookie was examined at this point).
Next, I go back to the index page, but I am now logged in, so times are local to me (EDT), which causes some to move around from one day to another.
I took screenshots, but I don't think it's necessary to E-mail Nick the big pictures since I know the cause. |

The dates and times for posts above are shown in Universal Co-ordinated Time (UTC).
To show them in your local time you can join the forum, and then set the 'time correction' field in your profile to the number of hours difference between your location and UTC time.
