Loss of World Files

I might have missed this in one of your notes, but I did look rather closely being as tired as I am (this probably being my mistake in the first place ^_^;). In any case, the installer of v4.43 removed all my .MCL world files. Fortunately, it did keep all my plugins, although I already had them in a zip file for portability anyway.... Does anyone know how, if possible, I can retrieve said world files? It didn't send anything to the recycle bin. I am using Vista Home Premium, SP1.(don't judge, I have no choice, other people use this comp Dx).

The installer doesn't remove world files. Period. Nor does the uninstaller.

What has probably happened is that since the startup directory has changed, it is looking in a different place than where they are. Try My Documents or whatever it is called. Use the Windows "search" function to find one whose name you remember.
