I have subscribed to many of the forum threads, yet am not recieveing updates when things are added. I assume that if you subscribe to a thread that you will be automatically sent an e-mail when a reply is made. Nothing has come through yet though. Sorry if I placed this in the wrong locale. I'm pretty good at that. :-)

There are two sorts of subscribing, as explained in the forum section about the forum itself: What is subscribing?
If you subscribe to a topic, which you have, then you will be notified by email of new threads - that is when someone starts up a new subject.
However this does not notify you of replies to existing ones. The idea here is that if someone starts up a lengthy thread (eg. about JavaScript) that you aren't interested in, then you won't get lots of emails about it.
Thus, if you post a message about a new subject (ie. start a thread), then you should then subscribe to that thread immediately, (there is a subscribe link at the bottom of each page), then you will see the replies to your question.
