Problems with mail in October 2001

In the first couple of weeks in October 2001, there were problems with the forum's ability to email users.

This affected:

  • joining the forum
  • receiving a 'forgotten password' mailout
  • being notified of new postings


This problem was caused by the web server host company (Superb.Net) upgrading their PHP software.

The problem has now been resolved, and service is back to normal.
