I seem to be having a problem staying logged in. I've gone for weeks without having to log back ( usually after clearing my cache ) but I'm having to log in about every 20 minutes. Not a big issue, though I dunno if anyone else is having the same problem. And my cache is nto getting wiped or anything, cause my other cookies for other login sites are not being affected.

Try adjusting the cookie timeout time in your profile, maybe make that longer.

If you are logging in from more than 1 computer each time you switch computers you will have to relog here.
I'm at the same computer, and my expiry was the default(7 days). I've set it much higher now, but then immediately afterwards I had to log back in, heh. Just thought I would bring it up.
Well it is strange. I just logged out and back in with no problems.
Possibly there is an intermediate agent disabling cookies, for instance I am using Junkbuster (proxy) which can be set to allow cookies through on a case-by-case basis.

Can a virus manipulate the computer even it is turned off?Because some of important files could not be open may be it blocked my files.

Cookies are not executable programs; they are only bits of data, like anything you might put in a text file for keeping notes. When you visit a website, they can tell the browser to set a cookie by giving it some data to hold. From then on, whenever you go to that same website your browser will send the cookie back. This lets websites remember you between clicks so you can have things like member-only areas (where it has to remember that you logged in) and stuff like that.

For cookie blocking check the "security" options for whatever web browser you have. Most allow blocking cookies either for all sites or nominated sites.
I suggest at this stage a disk check utility and a virus scan. If the power went off (eg. power failure) without it being shut down properly, files might be lost that way.
