VBS script-length limited?

One day I was happily scripting along, as one does, when I suddenly noticed something strange. I couldn't add any more characters! I removing some characters would allow me to enter new ones, but once the total number of characters reached 32445, I couldn't add any more.

What causes this, and is there any way around it?

Which editor did you use? Whichever one it was, I suggest changing to a different one. It doesn't matter what you use to edit the scripts with, as long as it is a text editor.

I use UltraEdit a fair bit, which is very powerful.

See www.ultraedit.com for it.

As much as I hate advertising, I think it's warranted here. UltraEdit is good program, but I also suggest trying EditPlus (www.editplus.com), it's very efficient and easy to use, with a bundle of features! [/plug] :P

Oh. I was merely using the built-in editor.

I think the built-in editor will handle large files under NT, but under 95/98/ME will be limited to around 32K bytes.
