| | Hello. I cannot open one of my world files. It gives 2 errors when I try to open it: File does not have a valid MUSHclient signature and Unexpected file format. Is there anyway I can restore/fix it? |

| Open up your world file in a text editor, take a look for anything that looks out of the ordinary. Create a new world and take a look to see the general format.
I'm sure it's possible to recover most (if not all) of the information, or at least the information that wasn't overwritten/deleted (or whatever else happened). |

| I doubt if it is spaces. Try using Ultra Edit or an editor that edits in hex.
I doubt it can be fixed. Is this an old version of MUSHclient? New ones write out XML files that should be easily patched.
However if it really has turned into 49Kb of junk then the only thing is to go to backups, if you have them. |
