Nicholas Gammon, you're in trouble, young man! Fix that setup file, it currently tries to install the plugins in the setup file path, not in the mushclient dir... It only works if you run it from within the mushclient directory... Oh, also, I have changed the chat plugin somewhat, i have changed the "chats" command to display hyperlinks on the names of the connections, and it calls "chatdetails" when you click on it.

No it doesn't.

It looks for the plugins directory in the registry. However I concede it might fail if you have renamed it to something other than "plugins". Did you do that?

If it is an initial install it should go into the: install dir / worlds / plugins
directory.

Hmm, no, i didn't change any of the directory tree... Let me check again.
Nope, it works just fine when i run it from the mushclient dir, otherwise it tells me that it can't open ".\worlds\plugins\someplugin.xml" for writing.
I'm running win98, maybe there's some difference in the registry?

I've had mine set to a non-standard directory for a long time, without problems.

E:\User\Magnum\MUSHclient\Worlds\- Plugins -\

Get my plugins here: http://www.magnumsworld.com/muds/

Constantly proving I don't know what I am doing...

I withdraw my earlier reservations, I misread the setup file. I should go into the directory specified by:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Global prefs\PluginsDirectory

Maybe check that is correct, it might not re-set that up if you changed it.
