I am setting up batmud on Avalon client for my laptop. I am aware that batmud has a client but the display messes up if I log on to batmud with my laptop from my desktop. I have used Cmud before and know how to make aliases and do targeting but have no idea about where to start with Lua and most of the threads here are too complicated for me to follow so here goes.

I need to make simple aliases
I need to make simple aliases with targeting.
I need to pick up, drop, and interact multiple items with an alias such as opening a chest.
I need to know how to make simple triggers.
I would like to know how to put chat channels in the boxes they have provided for that in Avalon.
Would be nice to have player stats such at health spell points and endurance on bottom right like they have on the picture they have on the Avalon website.

Thanks for any help. Might be willing to pay something for someone to set up a package with above aliases and triggers. I could write them out pretty quickly and email.

Avalon client

This is a MUSHclient forum, not an Avalon client forum.

OK. Show me how to do it in mushclient. I am hiring a tutor to try to teach me how to set it up and could use some script to show him. The Lua stuff I see on youtube seems to come from the mudlet for the most part. I tried Mushclient first but the link didn't work. Nothing happened when I clicked it. Avalon doesn't have any documentation with it or forums to go to but it does seem quite a bit newer than the others. I have tried mudlet but the script always seemed to get corrupted when I altered things and deleting it didn't help

Saying "the link" is not descriptive. What link where?

In any case, Batmud heavily integrates with their own very-feature-filled client. Using something else doesn't make sense.

You should ask on the batmud forum for help with that.

There is a section of this forum for "getting started" which covers many of the issues you raised in your first post, hopefully in an easy-to-follow format.

There is even a "Video showing how to make a targetting alias" which shows, step by step, how to do that.

I am trying to figure out how to use different profiles in the client for batmud so I can play batmud on different devices. I gave up on trying to make a new front end on avalon as there is no help available really and it looks like it would be frustrating to even try
