Spell fatal dmg doesn't ends battle?

I noticed that when I kill a mob (do fatal damage) with a spell (spell_smaug) it does not ends the batlle. The mod lies DEAD but i'm still in battle and i cannot leave the area (i can only flew).

Do you know this bug?
Any way i can fix this?

I tested that on 1.9fuss (the latest version) but the bug occurs. I dont know why.

That file is about 9 years old. I suggest getting the latest version from GitHub and compiling that:

If you can't resolve this issue, I suggest using the debugger (gdb) to work out exactly what is happening:
