I'm very new to using MUSHClient or any MUSH programs at all, but I wanted to ask. Is there any way to recolor the text, or at least part of the text, from other people coming into you, so it's easier to determine who's talking to you? A wall of white text on black background blends in very badly for me, and if I could color-code people's text on my end it'd make it a lot easier to discern who's doing and saying what.

You can make a trigger that matches peoples' names and colour them.
